Since its establishment in 1994, Shandong Airlines Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shandong Airlines”) has been Rooted in Shandong Province and developed from a small to large enterprise with gradually enhanced strength. Staying true to its original aspirating, Shandong Airlines is always honest and kind towards its customers and now poised for takeoff with accumulated strength. As the first local airlines of Shandong Province, it has filled the void of Shandong’s civil aviation transportation and aircraft maintenance industry, established a “sky bridge” connecting Shandong with the world, and contributed to the development of civil aviation of Shandong Province.  

Shandong Airlines has kept a safe flight record of 27 consecutive years, with the total number of aircrafts reaching 135, and won the highest prizes for safety presented by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (“Golden Goose Cup” and “Golden Eagle Cup”) for four times as well as the “Four-Star Award for Air Safety” presented by CAAC. By the end of December 2021, Shandong Airlines has kept a 27-year safe flight record, accumulated 4.6885 million hours of safe flight, achieved 2.4818 million times of safe take-off and landing, and transported 252 million person-times of passengers and 2.1791 million tons of goods. For 20 consecutive years, no in-flight engine flameout has ever occurred, and it has continued to optimize its fleet structure, with a Boeing 737 fleet established with 135 aircrafts in total. Branches and air bases were set up in places including Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Xiamen, Chongqig, Beijing, Urumchi and Guiyang, forming an airline network layout of comprehensive coverage with Shandong, Xiamen and Chongqing as the key connecting points. At present, Shandong Airlines has over 290 domestic, international and regional routes, with 4300+ flights to over 80 large and medium-sized cities operated on a weekly basis. Meanwhile, it has opened routes to surrounding countries such as South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India and Cambodia, and routes to regions including Taiwan and Hong Kong

After accumulation and development in the recent years, Shandong Airlines have improved its comprehensive management, organizing and control capacity significantly, and upgraded its security management, operating system and operational efficiency fundamentally. On November 9, 2017, Shandong Airline won the 17th “National Quality Award” of CAAC, which made it the first and only civil aviation enterprise to receive such honor, and broke the “zero” record in the Chinese civil aviation history. From 2015 to 2020, the headquarters of Shandong Airlines was honored as “National Civilized Unit” for six years in a row. On May 19, 2021, Civil Aviation Passenger Service Evaluation (CAPSE), China’s authoritative airlines assessment agency, announced winners of the 7th CAPSE Aviation Services Awards, and Shandong Airlines received the “Best Airlines Award” for the 7th consecutive year. On June 22, 2021, World Brand Lab released the 18th list of “China’s Top 500 Most Valuable Brands,” and Shandong Airlines ranked 98th with a brand value of 63.832 billion yuan. This was the 4th consecutive year that it ranked among the top 100, and the 14th year that it was included in “China’s Top 500 Most Valuable Brands.”

Devoted to fulling its social responsibility, enriching its air routes and improving its service quality, Shandong Airlines takes it as its obligatory duty to showcase the social image of Shandong Province and its capital city Jinan and promote the economic and social development of Shandong and China, and commits itself to creating a new image of Shandong. In earthquake relief and Olympics support, Shandong Airlines has completed numerous urgent, difficult and important air transportation tasks satisfactorily; in recent years, it has played an active part in poverty alleviation through development and social activities for public good. Since March 2012, Shandong Airlines has selected six batches of 12 outstanding Party cadres in four rounds to serve as first secretary, work team member (village in village), and deputy town chief of science and technology (temporary) respectively in Shancheng Subdistrict and Shuiquan Town of Shanting District, Zaozhuang and Liangcheng Town of Weishan County, Jining, and assigned 2 persons to engaged in rural revitalization work, 1 person to temporarily serve as deputy secretary of the county party committee, 1 person to carry out and reinforce the construction of grass-roots Party organization in rural areas, and 8 persons to tackle problems in enterprises, programs, villages and communities. For right years, Shandong Airlines have donated more than 14.7 million yuan (including money and goods) and coordinated more than 167.43 million yuan of industry and social funds, to offer strong support for poverty alleviation. With the vigorous support of Shandong Airlines and the unremitting efforts of its cadres stationed in villages, the supported areas have been lifted out of poverty in an all-round manner.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, Shandong Airlines has taken the initiative to undertake tasks and perform its social responsibility, and spared no efforts to provide urgent transportation guarantee for Shandong to help Hubei in the pandemic. Accumulatively, its aircrafts were chartered for 36 times to provide medical support, and 18 regular flights of Shandong Airlines were used to transport 3578 person-times of personnel and 144,498 kg of goods.
