Shandong Airlines’ General Specifications for Domestic Transport of Passengers’ Baggage

Passenger Ticket

Passenger ticket may only be used by passenger whose name is on the ticket and it’s not transferable. The validity period of the ticket is one year. The validity period of unused tickets commences with 00:00 of the day after issuance, whereas validity period of partially-used tickets commences with 00:00 of the day after the very first trip begins.

Children Ticket

Children aged between 2 and 12 (not included) are charged 50% of full-price adult ticket and their age is subject to their date of departure. Unaccompanied minors’ tickets are not available on the website. Please call us at 95369 or go to our ticket office should you need any.

Infant Ticket

“Infant” refers to anyone who’s over 14 days (included) but under 2 years old by the date of departure. Infants are charged 10% of full-price adult ticket and infants’ age is subject to their date of departure. Infant passengers do not get a seat of their own. If you need to take a seat alone, please contact 95369. Due to the limited amount of baby only facilities available on the plane, Shandong Airlines can only allow a limited number of infant passengers to board the plane and you need to book infant ticket in advance.

Restricted Transportation

Unaccompanied minors, handicapped, pregnant women, patients or other passengers that require special services should inform Shandong Airlines before booking their tickets and will only be accepted after getting our consent and corresponding arrangements are made. Shandong Airlines has the right to reject such customers who fail to ask for our consent while booking tickets. Our website does not offer tickets for passengers with special needs for the moment, please call us at 95369 or go to our ticket office should you need any.

Health

Passengers who are handicapped or severely ill must hold a certificate provided by medical establishment acceptable to Shandong Airlines that says their conditions allow their to travel by air and can only buy tickets after getting a consent from us. Our website does not offer tickets for passengers with special needs for the moment, please call us at 95369 or go to our ticket office should you need any.

Flying is not suitable for: Patients with all sorts of infectious disease and still in infective stage, aggressive mental patients, patients with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, patients with severe respiratory disease, patients with severe anemia, terminal cancel, patients who needs an oxygen bottle, women who are more than 35 weeks (included) into pregnancy, infants who are less than 14 days old, postoperative patients (less than 2 weeks after surgery) or other patients who are deemed not suitable for flying health-wise.

Valid ID

The categories of valid passenger identification documents are:
1.Chinese mainland resident ID cards, temporary ID cards, passports, military officer's certificates, Civilian Officer's certificates, Compulsory Soldier's certificates, Petty Officer's certificates, Civilian Staff's certificates, employee's certificates, Armed Police Officer's certificates, Armed Police Soldier's certificates, seaman's certificates. Valid ID cards for residents in mainland China under the age of 16 also include birth medical certificate, household register or identity certificate issued by the local public security organ;
2.Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, Residence Permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents;
3.Valid passports of foreign tourists, diplomatic certificate in China issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and permanent resident identity cards of foreigners;
4.Other valid Identification stipulated by Civil Aviation Administration.

Ticket Price

Applicable air transport price for taking passengers from the airport at the point of departure to the airport at the point of arrival as of the day they board their flights. Ground transport costs between airport and the city are not included. Once a ticket is sold, its price won’t change even if the overall ticket fare is adjusted.

TKTL

Passenger who has already booked a ticket should make the payment within prescribed period, otherwise his or her ticket won’t get reserved. The usual time window for reservation is 30 minutes on our website and 20 minutes on mobile APP.

Reservation Cancellation

You may cancel your reservation online when your online booking order is not paid yet. Once your ticket is issued, you’ll have to go through the ticket refund process.

Check-in

Passengers must arrive at the airport 90 minutes before take-off and check in with their tickets and valid ID. You won’t be able to check in 30 minutes before the airplane pulls away from the station (45 minutes at some airports, subject to each airport’ s own rules).

Carry-on

Evert first-class passenger fly domestically is allowed to take two pieces of carry-on baggage, which could not weigh more than 5kg per piece; every business and economy-class passenger is allowed to take one piece of carry-on baggage only, which could not weigh more than 5 kg. The length, width and height of each piece may not be over 55, 40 and 20 cm, respectively. Overweight baggage should be shipped as check-in baggage.

International Travel Documents

Before going to the country or region they are flying to, passengers need to take all of their valid travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) with them and obey the entry, exit, transit or other regulatory requirements of the country and region they travel to. For a smooth journey, you should learn about the specific travel information or applicable regulations from relevant embassies and confirm the validity of your documents based on your flight information before booking any international ticket. Shandong Airlines will not be held responsible if any passenger is not allowed to board the plane for his or her own ID.

Free Baggage Allowance

The free baggage allowance per head for passenger who’s holding an adult or children ticket is: 40kg for first-class, 30kg for business class and 20kg for economy class. The free baggage allowance for passenger holding an infant ticket is 10kg only.

Items that may not be shipped as baggage

Passengers may not carry flammable, explosive, corrosive, poisonous, radioactive substance, polymerizable substance, magnetic substance or other hazardous substance in their checked baggage or carry-on. Passengers may not board the plane with any weapon, controlled knives, sharp objects or lethal weapon.

Items that may not be shipped as checked baggage

There may not be any valuable such as cash, valuable coupon, jewelry, precious metal and its product, antiques and paintings, computer, personal electronic device, sample, or items that are fragile or easily damaged, perishable, lithium battery, important documents and materials, travel document as well as prescribed medicine that’s supposed to be taken on time in your checked baggage. We only assume responsibility for the loss or damage of above mentioned items carried in checked baggage as for common checked baggage.

Restricted Items

Non-radioactive Drugs or Bathroom Supplies (including aerosol)

（1）“Drugs & Bathroom Supplies” include items such as hair gel, perfume, cologne, and drugs that contain alcohol.

（2）The total net quantity of such items that every passenger is allowed to bring along is 2kg or 2 liters, and the net weight of each piece may not be over 0.5kg or 0.5 liter.

（3）Aerosol must be capped with protected by other proper means to prevent the content from incidental release.

Note: For security concerns, some countries may have more stringent restriction or rules on such items and passengers should abide by their rules. 

Alcoholic Beverage

（1）Beverage in consumer pack with an alcohol content greater than 24% but less than 70%. The liter of each container may not be more than 5 liters and the total amount every passenger is allowed to take may not be over 5 liters.

（2）Beverage with an alcohol content less than 24% is not bound by any restriction.

Note: For security concerns, some countries may have more stringent restriction or rules on such items and passengers should abide by their rules.

Baggage Packaging

Checked baggage must be properly packed, locked and buckled, tightly lashed, able to bear certain weight. The carrier may reject any baggage whose packaging does not meet relevant requirement or conditions of carriage, or won’t be held responsible for any baggage damage.

Baggage Declared Value

Passengers may declare the value of their checked baggage when each kilogram is worth more than 100 yuan. The declared value of checked baggage shall not be higher than its actual value. The maximum limit of baggage declared value is 8,000 yuan. Shandong Airlines has the right to refuse to accept any baggage should it not agree with the declared value and the passenger refuses to let Shandong Airlines check the baggage.

Security Check

Passengers and their baggage (including both checked baggage and carry-on) must go through security check before boarding a plane.

Irregular Flight Services

The carrier should provide passengers with free services including board and lodge for any flight delay or cancellation caused by carrier’s fault; In the case of delay or cancellation at the airport of departure caused by non-carrier reasons, such as weather, emergency, air traffic control, security check and passenger, the carrier could help passengers arrange board and lodge, though the costs will be borne by the passengers themselves.

Ticket Change & Refund
Passengers may change their flights, date, or class or ask for a refund after booking their tickets, which should be handled within the carrier’s capacity and constraints on the tickets.

Date Change for B2C Tickets

Passengers may cancel their original order and rebook online before paying. Passengers may also apply for non-endorsement online for when their tickets are already issued. In the case of special-offer tickets bought at special price or tickets whose seat reservation record is already expired, passengers need to go to designated counter or call 95369 to go through the non-endorsement process for existing tickets.

Restrictions

Passengers who book special-offer tickets should abide by the restrictions on such tickets. The restrictions below apply to tickets of flights taking off after JAN. 1st, 22 (included)
